Dear Friends,

Since September of 2002, Chabad House of West Hempstead has been offering the Jewish community of the greater West Hempstead area many religious, educational, and social programs and services. The Chabad House continues to serve many people of all backgrounds in our community and it provides a vibrant, inclusive home in which all are unequivocally accepted and embraced.

As you probably know, Chabad of West Hempstead has grown tremendously over the past years and we have thank G-D outgrown our current space. Our home on Nassau Blvd can no longer accommodate the growing number of participants in our Minyan, Hebrew School, holiday programs, Friendship Circle events as well as our many other offerings.

In response to this need I am thrilled to share that Chabad of West Hempstead is currently in contract to purchase a new home at 566 Nassau Blvd on the corner of Hawthorne Street. This new space will serve as a home for the many activities and functions that we offer our community.

The fundraising campaign to make this happen is now officially underway, and our goal is to raise $500,000 for this phase of the expansion project. To make this happen we are hoping for and relying on 100 percent participation, from all of our good friends and supporters.

For this to become a reality we need to move quickly. Please think carefully and deeply about this, and the long term effects of Chabad's work. Chabad of West Hempstead is not funded by any central organization. Every penny of this capital campaign will go directly to the building fund.

Please consider making a substantial donation. Contact me to set up a personal meeting to discuss this, as well as to find out about some very exciting dedication opportunities.

If need be, I will follow this email up with a personal phone call to you so that we can discuss what you can do to participate now, and what you are able to contribute over the long term.

It is my hope and prayer that through our combined effort we will succeed with this endeavor, and in the merit of your generous participation, may G-D grant you blessing and success in everything materialistically and spiritually.

I thank our dear friends that got to this point. I also ask that you please visit our building campaign webpage to view donors, donations and campaign progress. It will be up and running in the coming days.

We’re looking forward to a big beautiful Chabad Center in West Hempstead. A permanent home where all will be welcome, regardless of background or affiliation, you will be able to call our Chabad house your home.

Hope to hear from you soon and I anticipate your participation.

Thank you again

Sincerely,

Rabbi Yossi Lieberman
